Operating in Alberta's oilfield, oil sands, and SAGD environments demands more than a truck and a licence. Strategic Transportation Ltd. has built its operations around the specific requirements of remote industrial site access — from mandatory certification to Journey Management Plan protocols that satisfy the most rigorous HSE standards in the industry.
Every STL driver assigned to oilfield specialized transport holds a verified credential stack: H2S Alive, CSTS (Construction Safety Training System), TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods), WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance Level II as a minimum. Site-specific orientations are completed before first access to any new facility. Our vehicles are equipped for remote operations — satellite communication capable units on request, first aid kits, fire suppression, and H2S monitors as standard for wellsite runs.
STL operates a fully documented Health, Safety and Environmental Management System covering hazard identification, Journey Management Planning, fatigue management, and Stop Work Authority — a right extended to every driver on every run. When a driver identifies an unsafe condition, they stop. That's not a slogan; it's a documented operational procedure. Our clients include ATCO Structures and Logistics, Clearstream Energy Services, Kiewit Energy, and LNG Canada — organizations that require the highest safety standards as a condition of carrier prequalification. We hold current status on ComplyWorks and ISN and can provide our complete prequalification package on request.
